“In my proposal, this lamp had to be produced in this size with the possibility of extending it to become a reading light, from the floor, and also in a smaller size for more common use. Instead it was put into production in this size only, produced in small numbers; this therefore resulted in a particular cost for a luxury object with a particular location” Cini Boeri, Papero 1971
In 2023, the Papero lamp returns to production. In agreement with the Cini Boeri archive and thanks to new technologies, it was decided to proceed with the creation of a unique piece. The 1971 version, made with two pieces held together by a chromed steel plate, the only solution at the time to make it, was surpassed thanks to the creation of a single mould. The final result finally improves the original idea of the architect Cini Boeri.
